My Experiences in Education Technology
Educational technology is best learned by the young. This is because the young have not compiled a lifetime's worth of poor technological practices and assumptions that they must abandon in order to learn something new. This has been the experience of many of my friends who have returned to formal educational settings as adults, and it has been my experience as well.
The paper linked below explores how my personal experience in education technology has changed over time, from a kid playing Oregon Trail in elementary school to an adult trying to develop his Master's Capstone webpage with no previous web design experience.
